International Specialist Eye Centre (ISEC) at Centrepoint South MidValley Kuala Lumpur, Menara HSC Jalan Ampang and Penang Jalan Burma are centers of excellence in ophthalmology, specifically in clinical care, teaching and research.
We strive to provide high quality, compassionate, world-class eyecare at an affordable level to the local and regional community.
ISEC provides a full range of tertiary specialty services, ranging from sophisticated laser eye surgery (LASIK), to the most complex vitreoretinal, orbital reconstruction and complex corneal transplantation surgeries.
Our clinical decisions are made based on patient’s interests and contemporary evidence-based medicine. The clinical judgment of our team of subspecialty trained and comprehensive ophthalmologists are influenced by well established clinical guidelines and extensive experiences in the specialty. |

Practice Profile
The vision of establishing a world-class facility in eye care, particularly in subspecialty ophthalmology has its roots in 2000, when a group of highly trained colleagues from within the profession sought to build a centre of excellence in eye care delivery.
The strength of ISEC is in its ophthalmologists. Our eye surgeons hold impressive credentials, are generally regarded as key opinion leaders in their field. They had held consulting positions at prominent local teaching university hospitals, and are among the leading eye surgeons in the country. Our fellowship-trained eye surgeons possess the necessary training and clinical experiences with previous clinical appointments from renowned eye centres in Singapore, India, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
Today, ISEC serves more than 50,000 patient consultations and performs more than 5000 major eye operations annually. A large number of our patients traveled far afield to seek consultation and services from our team of highly trained eye doctors. |

ISEC@Ampang
ISEC at HSC Medical Centre (ISEC @ Ampang) is our satellite centre established with the specific aim of catering to the needs of our increasing health tourism patient load. Located in the embassy enclave of Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, this facility include full eye-disease consultation suites and diagnostic tools capable of providing comprehensive ophthalmology and anterior segment tertiary care ophthalmology services.
Incorporated within our 4000 square feet satellite facility is a full service ambulatory surgery operating room equipped with operating microscope and latest generation phacoemulsification surgery infrastructure. In addition, our patients have full access to in-patient ward facilities, intensive care unit and other multidisciplinary medical specialty services including radiology diagnostic imaging services provided within the HSC medical centre. |

| Located only 20 minutes from our main centre in Mid Valley (ISEC @ Mid Valley), patients who need more complex surgeries such as vitreoretinal surgery and corneal transplants can be assured that they are easily within the reach of more complex subspecialty services should they need to be referred to the relevant specialties at our main ISEC @ Mid Valley facility.
Our Electronic Medical Record system ensures that our patient medical record are seamlessly linked to and integrated with the the main patient medical records database maintained at the main server at Mid Valley City facility so that instant retrieval of updated patient medical records are always available at ISEC @ Ampang. In other words, whether our patients were seen at ISEC @ Mid Valley or ISEC @ Ampang facility, their secured medical records are integrated as one and constantly updated.
ISEC @ Ampang is an accredited hospital facility with Ministry of Health Malaysia, registered in compliant with the Private Healthcare Facilities Act, Malaysia.
