ISEC is an ASC, which provides cost-effective care, saving patients and insurance carriers millions of ringgit every year.  According to the United States of America (USA) Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) Report 2004 covering the 4000-odd ASC in USA, Medicare (USA) payments to ASCs are lower than payments to hospitals for comparable services in 87% of procedures.  Additionally, patient pays less co-insurance for procedures furnished in the ASC environment than for comparable hospital setting.
